The Moutoux Barn in Wheatland, Loudoun County, VA

Moutoux Orchard is a third-generation, family owned and operated farm located in Loudoun County, Virginia, near the town of Wheatland. If you've never tried our delicious fresh fruits and vegetables, you're missing out on one of the summertime's sweetest treasures.  We pride ourselves on providing our customers with the ripest, highest-quality produce available. All of our produce is picked fresh by hand, by the family and sold locally to our community at various markets. We are most famous for our delicious peaches ripened to perfection by the summer sun, of which we have over two dozen varieties. However, we have planted new orchards of Apples, Cherries, Plums, and Pears which will be bearing fruit soon, hopefully by the 2009 season. Additionally we are establishing plantings of strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries at our Loudoun farm, as well as looking into ventures in pasture-based animal production and small scale grain production, including wheat, barley, and rye for grinding to flour.

Sneak Preview of the New Orchard

For about 3 weeks in March 2005 we were busy at work planting a new orchard at our Wheatland farm. First we had to build a new deer fence for protection, and then we planted approximately 650 mixed fruit trees in the last week of March. See the sneak preview of our orchard and some photos of our work.
